Costume Collection

There is a wonderful collection of costumes from the 18th century to the 1960s, including a uniform jacket of the Launceston and Newport Volunteers, formed to counter a threat from Napoleon.

Items made by the French prisoners of war on parole in the town are also on display, and several elegant wedding dresses and a collection of nightwear.
